Texas and Colorado
lead easy-to-sell list
Selling a house is easy in much of the country, but nowhere is it easier than in Texas and Colorado, according to a new study by SmartAsset.
The personal-finance website concluded that nine of the 10 best cities in which to sell a home are in those two states.
No. 1 is Denver, followed by Fort Collins, Colorado; Grand Prairie, Texas; Irving, Texas; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Aurora, Colorado; McKinney, Texas; Plano, Texas; Dallas; and Portland, Oregon.
No Midwestern cities made the full list of 25.
SmartAsset based its findings on changes in home values, average days on the market, closing costs, number of real-estate agents and percentage of homes sold at a loss.
