LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) –
The Regency Towers off of Highway 42 were a big bust.
“It hit the market at a very challenging time,” Developer Colin Underhill said.
The luxury condos were for sale during the recession when people weren’t buying property. Then, the building went into foreclosure. A different developer, Underhill Associates, bought the building in September to bring to condos to their full potential and start selling them again.
“We’re really excited to continue to roll out our new brand, which is The George, and distance ourselves from the prior naming and set up of the building,” Underhill said.
Construction started back in the early 2000s but was never finished.
A lot of the condos are still unfinished, but WDRB got one of the first looks inside the new model unit that was recently completed.
