YORK — The family of the late Mary Davis has filed plans with the town to subdivide their 109-acre York Village property into as many as 124 condominium units.
The action comes more than two years after residents of the town voted against spending $5.5 million to purchase the property, which includes woods, fields and vernal pools, abuts Village Elementary School and stretches to Donica Road.
The Planning Board is expected to review a preliminary proposal, or sketch plan, at its Jan. 12 meeting. This first step provides an opportunity for applicants to get a sense from the board of the scope of issues that the project may face.
As proposed, the Mary McIntire Davis Trust, a family trust, would secure the necessary town approvals and present the plan to a developer to complete the sale. Thomas Greer of Pinkham and Greer
