A supergroup comprised of renowned singer-songwriters Neko Case, K.D. Lang and Laura Veirs will perform at the Joy Theater in New Orleans on July 31.
The all-female trio will take the stage under the moniker case/lang/veirs, which will laso be the name of their upcoming 14-track collaborative album. The record–slated for release on June 16–will find the artists sharing lead vocal duties equally, often on the same track.
Evidently, the project came to fruition a few years ago, when lang sent an email to Case and Veirs that read, “I think we should make a record together.” Despite being little more than acquanitances, the three musicians admired each other’s work and quickly agreed to the propsoal.
